HUNTING ELEPHANT IN KAFUE NATIONAL PARK
Alex Suse Chishimba, "HUNTING ELEPHANT IN KAFUE NATIONAL PARK", 2026, Oil on canvas, 50.3 x 39.3in. (128 x 100cm)
Alex, 29, paints in a style that is a refreshing evolution from the works produced by the masters of Zambia's art scene in the 1970s and '80s. In fact, Alex still receives mentorship from one of the legends of this era; but his work goes further in its thematic exploration and is appropriately suited for modern tastes.
